The telephone number for the apartment owner didn’t work. The address given was poor, so taxi driver drove round for over an hour trying to find the address, despite asking several locals for help. In the end we got out of the taxi and wandered round the Marina complex for over an hour with our suitcases in mid-day heat trying to find our apartment. The location onBooking.com pinged within the gated complex, whereas this apartment is across the road from the complex – we would not have booked the apartment had we known the actual location as we had looked at another one within the complex. Several marina security guards didn’t recognise the address, even though one security guard was basically looking at the property!

Comfortable place in a good location with easy free parking. Good wifi. Very spacious.

The kitchen was very dirty, utensils had not been cleaned. There was a filthy sponge and two or three very well-used dish cloths. Empty bottles from previous guests were also in cupboards. There was only 1 bath towel for 2 people, accidents happen but when I messaged to get another instead of saying yes we will get one to you there was about 10 messages back and forth before the finally said we will bring you one. Directions to the property are very difficult as well. They wanted to use wattsapp, which was fine, but then never sent directions. When they finally sent directions through booking.com, the map pinned the location in a different spot from the apartment ( 1 block away). The hot water tank is very small. Enough for 1 three minute shower. then, you will need to wait 20 minutes for it to reheat.

The owner informed us just at 6 pm, while on the way to Agadir, that our confirmed and paid booking was not available (and blamed Booking.com for it), but that she would arrange an equivalent alternative. When coming to the alternative at 8:45 PM, it was far below expectations and looked more like a worn-out party room than an apartment. Mold, dirty kitchen, unwashed bedsheets with mud and lipstick on it (I guess previous guests had some special requests), so we didn't want to sleep on them. Informed owner and Booking of below standard accommodation straightaway, but no alternative was given. Asked for a refund but owner did not want to give. Still discussing with Booking.com. What a scam.
