Beautiful, Peaceful, 5 Bedroom home with Hot Tub!

Good location . Big house but in need of a deep clean and a proper paint

The entire place was in need of a deep clean floors need proper vacuum and hard floors properly mopped. The much publicised hot tub was not working ( did get a call about that prior to arriving) however the decking around the hot tub needed a proper scrub fences with neighbours were broken area around BBQ looked like a bomb site that hadn't been clean in at least a year again with broken fences. The area around the hot tub also appeared to be cover in soft wet spheres that I came to the conclusion were some kind of aquatic eggs. A distinct smell of damp in kitchen. All the council bins at property were full and by smell cross contaminated and not emptied in some time. Property looks like a victim of casual neglect for some time

- location is lovely and quiet but still close to the city. - spacious house- as a group of 8 we could move about freely and comfortably. - plenty of towels and toiletries provided. - house was warm and hot water was plenty. - hot tub was perfect and not too public. - attic bedrooms and bathroom were perfect to use. - they had left little bags of tea, coffee, sugar and milk for us to use- a nice touch. - kitchen has plenty of utensils.

- could do with a good update in the first floor bathroom- cracked tiles, window handle broken and the shower has no force. - the pans and utensils in the kitchen were greasy and mouldy so a good clean is needed in between uses I think. - general cleaning issues- cobwebs in the corners of the rooms and near the radiators was very dusty and dirty. - we had a big problem with the oven- nearly burnt our food on the first night. The temp it showed was not the one it was on. It was too high and burnt our eyes when we opened it. Maybe needs a good clean and service?

Ideal location, plenty of space and all we needed.

Few things needed updating / replacing. Shower hose broken in one bathroom.

Close to the tram lines so easy to get into the centre without the expense and noise of the city centre. Taxi back at night was cheap too. The house was beautiful, lots of room and space to hang out together and have food together there, kitchen had everything we needed to make a lovely meal for 8 too. The host was great! All went though WhatsApp so no pressure to meet anyone face to face but was very quick to answer questions and help, very causal, approachable, friendly and just a top couple really. The hot tub was amazing!! We went during the coldest time in the middle of winter and were in our swimming cozzies in the evening but was warm from the tub, I hate the cold so for me to enjoy that is testament to the hot tub. Nice garden space and seating for the smokers of the group. Bedrooms were lovely, nice little toiletry bags and towels left on all the beds too. Massive bath enough space for two people comfterble in the tub. Host was accommodating to time changes and adjustments from what’s here on booking.com when he sends his WhatsApp to you. It says no parties but as long as your quiet at a decent time, not too loud during the day, respectable, don’t trash the place and don’t take the piss I feel like he’s relaxed about most things.

Can’t think of anything really, it was really good, great weekend there. I guess the only thing I could say is one of our group was low mobility, a toilet downstairs would have helped but then the stairs to the first floor wasn’t too much for him, they were big steps and not like a full flight so that was good. Again that’s me not checking properly for his needs rather than anything wrong with the property. It was fantastic. I would book again for sure.
