"Beautiful views make this a real gem!"

9.0

The house is set in a truly beautiful location, stunning views across the valley from every room - we all spent a long time looking out of the kitchen window! Mostly, the rooms were large and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with lots of essentials as well as all the crockery, glasses and cups we needed. It was lovely to have the dishwasher, as well as a washer and dryer (though we didn’t need these). Communal spaces were of a lovely size, and three bathrooms was definitely a benefit. The area is very quiet day and night, which made for a lovely peaceful stay. We watched deer in the fields beyond the garden, and had a gorgeous lunch at a nearby pub (The Vine Tree). Lovely little local park nearby for those with children. Communication was fast throughout the booking process, and check in/out was straightforward.

There were just a few very minor dislikes; One of the party reported that the twin bed she slept in was not that comfortable or soft. The windows are quite high up in some rooms which could make it difficult for a vertically challenged person (like me) to open them! Similarly, the blinds give great coverage for the windows, but are not operated with a pull cord so I needed to stand on a chair to grab the bottom of the blind to pull it down. The WiFi code on the email did not work, but I also didn’t contact the agent and I’m sure if I had it would have been sorted quickly. The road to the property is tight as is described in all correspondence, but we managed this fine and were able to park two cars on the driveway with just a small amount of manoeuvring. Overall, there were no major issues.

All the facilities were good. Views were great. Rooms we’re comfy.

Heating broke down on the first day. Heating engineer didn’t arrive until midday the following day. All six guests were sénior citizens and it was cold.

Είχε πολύ αργά check in και πολύ νωρίς check out!!! Αυτό δημιουργεί τεράστιο πρόβλημα. Ένα τέτοιο σπίτι με πόσα πολλά άτομα δεν μπορεί να ετοιμαστεί για να χωρίς στις 10:00 το πρωί.

"Restful, beautiful views . Easy access to all Cotswolds towns"

10.0

Great views -great size rooms and very comfortable . Facilities in the house were awesome . Responsive host !

The little narrow roads in the Uk were a challenge for our 9 seater van but .. we got the hang of it . Get 2 small cars if you’re a crowd is my recommendation.

"Fantastic house in beautiful surroundings"

9.0

Wonderful location, perfect as base to visit the Cotswolds or to simply enjoy the beautiful surrounding nature. The house is very well equiped and clean. The rooms are perfect and the view is indeed idyllic. Generally very happy to have stayed in this house and would happily recommend it.

The only aspect I would point out is there are many stairs due to the layout of the house, to take into account with small children. (We had 5 children, including 2 toddlers, and it was fine that said)

"Lovely views and house but please address safety issues"

7.0

The view was spectacular - could see over the whole valley and deer were feeding in the field next door when we woke in the morning. Bring binoculars for bird spotting too - beautiful kestral seems to be resident! The bedrooms were tidy and clean but don't expect luxury. The kitchen was well stocked with oils, tea, coffee etc The garden was very pretty and steeply terraced with a pond and a well protected from small people incidents with mesh. There was even a basket of slippers if people needed them and plenty of games and books. Friendly peaceful area and nice pub (the star inn) within walking distance straight down lower street.

The house is two stories at the front and four at the back as it is on a steep hill - you enter at bedroom level (three bedrooms one bath) up one floor to two further bedrooms with a bathroom between and down to another shower room, kitchen, dining room and lounge with a balcony over the patio one more storey below. We had young children with us and there were no limiters on the windows or keys for the window locks. we asked as soon as we arrived if there were any but the agent didn't get back to us. we had to improvise locks on the children's bedroom with tape. This is a basic safety requirement I would have thought given the drop and that this is family accomodation. Much of the crockery was dirty but that's a bit of a given on a self catering accomodation. Part of the wooden top surface was sticky and unpleasant and seems to have a problem like the surface has been denatured with the wrong cleaning product . The parking is very difficult for even one car in the dark due to a large post to get round - this should have some reflective stickers to help people see it and park safely. Unless you have a small car don't attempt - we really struggled to turn our people carriers We ended up with both parties parking up at the chapel and walking back to the house. this is not the house if you have any kind of disability which restricts your ability to walk up stairs without a handrail as the garden has none (and a few unprotected drops) and the stairs are patchy! The house was roomy and comfortable but the lack of some basic safety features and lack of response from the agents or owners marred the experience a little.
