Cosy Fisherman’s Cottage: 150m to Brixham Harbour

Beautiful cottage, spotlessly clean, equipped with everything you could possibly need. Wonderful welcoming touches by host. App used to lock/unlock door worked wonderfully. Brilliant communication with host. Parking up the hill was easy and free.

If I have to be picky would have liked a toilet on the same floor as the bedroom as had to go down the steep spiral staircase in the night if toilet was needed, and had to mind head on the beams in the bedroom. That said we knew this could be the case when we booked. Even though there were two pillows to choose from would have liked a softer thinner pillow but that is just my personal preference.

What a beautiful little cottage a stones throw from the harbour and marina. Bedroom was delightful with a very comfy bed and the bath was a real treat. The living room and kitchen very well equipt with cosy decor. We will definitely be back! Brixham is lovely and we had a lovely weekend of wine and gorgeous fresh fish dinners. Albero restaurant was a real highlight.

Nothing! To note the bedroom is at the top of two very steep and narrow staircases. Fine for us but worth nothing if you have mobility issues.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a this cottage in Brixham, and it was nothing short of perfect. The cottage was beautifully decorated with an awesome mix of modern and classic seaside charm, making it feel like a true home away from home. The location was unbeatable—just a short walk from the harbour. The surrounding area was peaceful and quiet, providing the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The cottage itself was immaculate, with every detail considered. The kitchen was well-equipped, allowing us to prepare meals with ease, and the living room was the perfect spot to relax after a day of exploring. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we appreciated the little touches, like the welcome basket with some treats. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat in a picturesque seaside town, this cottage in Brixham is the place to be. I can't recommend it highly enough and can't wait to return!

Nothing. For transparency, the stairs are quite steep/narrow to the bedroom, but it’s a cottage, and that’s not unreasonable! I’ve negotiated much worse in Brixham!

What did I like about this property??? EVERYTHING! This place is fantastic and has everything and more you could possibly need. The decor is beautiful, bed is comfy, bathroom is perfect and the bath in the bedroom with a glass of champagne was absolutely perfect after a long day of walking. The welcome basket and bottle of fizz was fab and the kitchen is so well equipped. The hosts were so helpful and kept in touch to ensure we were ok. We will 100% be back to stay in this cottage, location, amenities, comfort etc were all 10 out of 10. If I were to ever see a bad review on here, I would say ignore it, it’s a diamond of a find ♥️

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like but as stated in the booking details, the stairs are incredibly steep but they have great grab rails which were perfect to help you up and down. The cottage has no garden but this didn’t bother me in the slightest as you are a tiny walk right in to the harbour.

As the stay was during the Brixham water parasite problem, hosts could of been more proactive in providing more bottled water

App access worked well for us with a great central location. Great tips where to park as well. The cottage was very comfortable with great kitchen which we used to full effect to cook local fish from the market.

Difficult to add to what was a great property. The stairs were a bit steep but that’s what you get in an older property.
