"A great little find"

10.0

The cottage was cosy and charming, and the location is really peaceful, picturesque and conveniently situated for lots of attractions (Glastonbury Abbey was a 15-minute drive, and it took us an hour to get to Stonehenge). Everything we could have needed was available during our stay, even down to the gluten-free biscuits; it almost felt like we were housesitting rather than visiting for a few nights. Thank you, Sue and Wendy, we had a great time and wish we could have stayed longer.

One very minor thing. We were lucky enough to visit during a sunny weekend, but the lack of curtains in the bedroom (blinds only) meant that the room was very bright at 6am, which woke us up. We'd left our little one at home, so we had hoped for a rare lie in!

"An ideal cottage in picturesque country village location with access to a washing machine and dryer."

10.0

The cottage was in a really pretty village of Butleigh, a few miles from Street, Glastonbury and Wells with a Post Office and a farm shop (honesty box). There was milk in the fridge when we arrived, tea and coffee and the use of the washing machine came in really handy to wash our camping clothes in, after a week of camping at New Wine. We'd highly recommend the property to couples, single people or a couple with a baby and a carry cot. Unless you want to do lots of walking wed recommend you had a car to visit this property. There is car parking on the drive.

If you put the recycling out, it goes on the board at the side of the cottage. Not on the street as otherwise the bin vans can't get through.

"Very pleasant stay in a well maintained and comfortable cottage."

8.0

Sue had left milk in the fridge, tea , coffee and biscuits and some lovely chocolates. Everything we needed was to hand so that we could relax after a long journey. It is a very quiet village, the most noise was from the wood pigeons and owls! We were attending an event in Glastonbury so it was an easy short drive.

The stairs are rather steep. Not a problem for us but worth remembering if you have mobility issues. Also be aware that in our experience mobile signal is poor in the village.

This is one the best places I've stayed in. It's in a quiet tranquil village. Location is sweet. The cottage has everything you will need to call it home away from home. Probably my favourite place so far
