The fruit trees. They separated Muslim and non-muslim utensils. The kitchen and rooms were very clean, towels n bedsheets white as snow. Good selection of games.

The pool area was pebbled, no slippers provided. The mattresses were deplorable, all of us had restless nights. Entrance grills were spoilt, couldn't get grandma in (wheelchair), had to use side entrance, then grill wouldn't close. Lounge chairs were antique (nice) but v rickety. Sofa set was a joke - very low and hard.. overall not worth the almost 1K we paid per night.

"We had a great time despite the minor hiccups."

7.0

We had a great time despite the minor hiccups. Great location. Very quiet neighbouhood. So nice. The place looks good and certainly makes a great first impression. The maintenance team was fast, they managed to clear up the clogged toilet on the 1st floor in less than an hour. They also respond promptly every time we have troubles or issues with the house i.e. clogged toilet, dead light bulb, malfunctioning washing machine, outdoor spot light keeps turning on at night (via movement sensor?).

The family area on the ground floor has no curtains, so it was uncomfortable for us. I would strongly suggest the owner use curtains for all big windows and glass doors to make sure their guest have basic privacy, to bring down the temperature of the house and (for their benefit as well) to reduce the energy consumption of the small air conditioner that is being used to cool down the entire ground floor. Some of my family members prefer to sit on the floor because they are slightly big and scared the tiny thin sofabed cannot withstand their weight, so I would suggest they use a real sofa instead of DIY sofabeds in the living hall/family hall. The toilet light was out and they didn't have a replacement bulb making us short of a toilet for our second night so I would suggest they regularly maintained the house, have a backup replacement bulb and/or use the normal up-to-date bulbs etc.
