The location is great although a little bit isolated. The room was lovely as was the restaurant and outside terrace. Staff really friendly and helpful.

For me the cost was a bit excessive £271 for what was basically a room and breakfast! Car park is very small but secure.

Central heating came on in the middle of the night.

The Crab and Lobster is a gem. It’s an historic pub in Sidlesham set on the marsh of Pagham Harbour. Huge effort has been made to create a very comfortable pub restaurant with 4 bedrooms and a cottage. Great attention to detail: lovely fabrics, quality bed linen, thoughtfully situated lamps, dressing table with plug socket, Nespresso machine on the tea and coffee station. Even the wardrobe is cunningly designed with internal light, full length mirror and shelves tucked beside hanging space. Ironing board, iron and fan also provided. They’ve seriously thought of everything. Restaurant is staffed by friendly, helpful staff who take great pride in their work and clearly want you to have a wonderful stay. Food is delicious. Book dinner every night you stay, you’ll want to try everything on the menu. Hearty and delicious breakfast beautifully presented. We loved it.

We come here regularly because it’s a lovely place and the staff are so welcoming and professional but above all the FOOD is fantastic. Amazing consistently excellent food and surprisingly large wine selection.

Location is great - tranquil, great for nature lovers, lovely views over the marshes. Hotel rooms excellently furnished, comfortable bed and thoughtful provisions of tea and coffee making gear including fresh milk in the fridge. Staff extremely helpful and friendly especially the gentleman who checked us in - sorry, forgot to ask his name.

Because I have mobility difficulties I asked to be booked into a 1st floor bedroom, rather than the top floor. I knew this might be a problem in terms of the shower because the top bedroom is the only one with a walk in shower as opposed to shower in the bath. Indeed it was a problem because unfortunately the shower over the bath was fixed overhead rather than a hand-held showerhead and I find these most unsatisfactory. It's a personal issue but a shame for me. The food was a little over-engineered and slightly simpler treatment of the seafood would have suited me better.

Very welcoming staff, delicious food, gorgeous setting, free parking, great walks nearby, lovely room, exceptionally clean

It's an older building so sadly noise travels between rooms and we were woken a few times by the guests above us
