Evara Spa & Resort is possibly the best resort that you'll get in the area. It offers a home like setting away from home in the captivating mountains and the dense forest in the heart of Bhalon. The food is something that you'll cherish with a taste just like home, it's an amazing property with a nice pool for adults and an adjacent pool for kids of all ages. The staff is polite and will engage in conversation with you if you'd like. They have an artist from Darjeeling (Amar) who comes every evening and plays the guitar to some old Hindi songs in the lawn just opposite the pool. Again, the property is fabulous and has a hint of a modern room with a jacuzzi (provided you opt for that room). I met the owner, Harsh Mittal and his spouse who are wonderful, helpful, easy to talk to and will make you feel at home. It's a thumbs up from me for this property for all the right reasons. There's also a games room for kids and adults which has board games like Carrom, a pool table, Badminton rackets, Table Tennis, cricket equipment, air hockey and some other stuff.

Please note that these are not things that I didn't like, these are things that I know that will improve over time since this is a new property and there are things that will eventually and gradually come up here. The spa for example is still very new and needs a warmer lighting, the staff is decent and will do a good job. It's slightly expensive compared to the other brands and perhaps absent some amenities that you may expect for the price, such as a welcome drink for example or just the premium feel (we were missing a pillow on the bed which would have definitely made it more pleasant considering I ended up with a stiff neck - that was the only thing I didn't enjoy).

The view, the location.

We were two sisters traveling with three kids and had booked two rooms for a 3-night, 4-day stay at Evara. Unfortunately, what we hoped would be a relaxing getaway turned into a frustrating experience due to poor service, lack of basic hospitality, and a complete absence of accountability. From day one, it was clear the property was either overbooked or severely understaffed. At the pool, we were told they didn’t have enough towels — and could only give one towel for the entire group. We had to escalate to the manager just to get something as basic as pool towels for the kids. Ridiculous. Service at the dining area was painfully slow — we had to wait nearly an hour for a simple order of half-fried eggs, and that too after reminding the staff over 10 times. Housekeeping was no better — five calls later, someone finally showed up. Another major concern: there are no CCTV cameras in the kids’ play/activity room. One of the children misplaced a GPS-enabled watch, and although we could see it was still somewhere on the property, no real effort was made by the staff to locate it despite repeated requests. To make things worse, the Wi-Fi password was changed without informing guests, and with no mobile network on the property, this became a serious issue. Even basic tasks became difficult — including making payments, which couldn’t be done via card because of the lack of connectivity. The only saving grace of our entire stay was one staff member — Govind ji — who went out of his way to help us and made sure we had at least one amazing meal during our time there. His kindness stood out in an otherwise disappointing experience. The property does have a beautiful view, and we booked based on glowing reviews. But sadly, the service levels were nowhere close to what we expected. Unless major changes are made, we wouldn’t recommend it — especially for families traveling with kids.

Property was really nice. One large double. Bed and one queen bed was comfortable for my two kids. Swimming pool was excellent. Evening snacks was fantastic, don't miss it. Also, live music and tambola followed by evening snacks was nice gesture by property. Washroom were neat and clean. Balcony view was good and kids enjoy playing inside property game room with table tennis, fuss ball and carrom. All in all, property to be booked if you want to stay away from citys hustle and bustle. Property is 30 mins away from Ramnagar. 40 Mins from Sitabani Reserve I took Sitabani Safari, was good, seen few dears.

Overall amazing property!! Great rooms, decent amenities, good food and nice location.

We really enjoyed our stay! Our room was lovely and spacious -it had 2 bathrooms. The staff was really helpful. I had booked my reservation very late, and they texted me almost immediately to see if I wanted to book a safari, since they knew they might sell out. The food at the restaurant was delicious, and you can see mountains all around.

It is a bit difficult to get there. We arrived after dark, and the road to get there is winding and narrow and difficult in the dark. However, it is much easier to navigate in the daytime.
