"Not so cosy......"

The accommodation is in a great location and walking distance to everything. There was lots of condiments/ toiletries that people have obviously left behind which was handy.

The heating wasn't working in the property and it was freezing. Whilst the host told me to use the plug in heater and keep it on there was no offer of anyone coming to fix it and 1 plug in heater wasn't suffice to heat living area and 2 bedrooms. Cleanliness wasnt great, tonail clippings on the floor in one of the bedrooms.

"Perfect city centre location."

The location was right in the middle of Liverpool, perfect for us as we never had far to walk to fun and exciting things to do with the family. Loads of places to also eat and drink right on your door step.

"OUR HOME AWAY FROM HOME"

I like everything its like our home away from home. You can cook if you want or do your laundry. But whats best is you have a privacy just like your own home. Definitely we will come back 👍

It's all alright. If anything, I didn't like, the stairs because they're killing my feet coming up. 🤣🤣🤣

"Great location, comfy room, with outrageously terrible host and broken amenities"

Great location, right in the heart of the city. One can easily walk from Lime street if needed. Great apartment as well, its got a nice curved TV, enough sleeping space for family of 4, nice bathtub, a comfy bed with pillows and overall good facilities. That's why I give this location 2 stars - one for an excellent location and one for a good clean house with facilities. If I could rate this property on location and the property itself, I could have given it 8 on 10. However, dealing with Samuel the host has been a very frustrating experience and made our stay miserable. He constantly ignored us, being unhelpful when facilities in the apartment weren't working, then responds with sarcasm, then tried to charge us for something we didn't do (of course we didn't pay, what a guy)

We entered & the heating wasn't working, on a Christmas winter's night. We had to stay in freezing cold while we tried to contact the host, who replies hours later. He told us, sarcastically, as if it was so obvious to figure out, to find some closet and press some button 6 times to start the heating. Next morning, water heating stopped working, and had to take cold water bath in 0 deg. When we told him, his response 12 hours later was to not help, saying "Oh that's never happened before". After ignoring us, he told us to swap the plugs of two appliances. When I asked him how that's relevant, sarcastically replies "there are timers on the plugs". Ignores us for 24 hours when we tell him it didn't work, then insults with full sarcasm saying "Such a shame mate, you should figure this out" & "Can't a man spend the holidays without being disturbed by you idiots". Astonishing, remorseless, unhelpful behaviour is what we got for paying 300 GBP for the stay. When washing our clothes in the machine, water started leaking onto the kitchen due to a faulty rubber seal. It shows poor maintenance of basic facilities by the host. We later had to clean the floor ourselves & couldn't cook until it was dry. On the final day, due to unfortunate miscommunication, one of us left the key inside the house instead of putting it back in the keybox. Honest mistake on our part, and despite the remorseless behaviour of the host so far, we were genuinely apologetic about it. Standard practise in hotel industry for doors that cannot be opened from the outside, is to have a spare key available. The host had a spare key, but instead of giving it to his cleaning staff, decided to take it to London on his holidays, having no trust on his staff. He then tried to charge us 100 GBP for stealing the key (even though it was on the keyhook, NOT STOLEN).

· Unclean. Smoke alarms uncapped and therefore not legal. The owner said it had been cleaned but it had not. Cooker hood filter hanging in grease, marks on walls, dead plants, kettle filthy, light switches dirty and a grease smell throughout the whole place. We left and booked into a hotel which cost a further 700 pounds. Have been offered 50 pounds in compensation despite providing photographs and having paid 541 pounds for the flat. Photographs on booking.com very deceiving. I will pursue my compensation claim further as the property was not as described unclean and unsafe
