"An ideal place for a quiet break away from the crowds"

This little cottage is tucked away in a quiet and secluded location which makes it perfect for a peaceful place to stay, away from the crowds. It had everything you could possibly want for cooking and had a unique charm which shows that the owners have put a lot of thought and care into the decor and ambience. Having a safe private parking space close to the cottage was a real bonus, and the location is perfect for getting around to visit a range of places.

"Dog-friendly perfection"

This is a really beautiful dog-friendly cottage with a lovely little garden in the centre of Witherslack. It's really nicely decorated and has lots of homely touches without feeling too much like someone elses house. I stay in a lot of places as I'm a travel writer and they're usually lacking something in the kitchen like tongs or teabags etc; Rose Cottage had everything you'd need. Our dog really enjoyed herself. There's a little grass verge just outside the gate so not having grass in the garden wasn't a problem for dogs needing late night wees as you can easily pop out! Would definitely stay here again.
