Riverside 24 - Haggerston Castle

We loved the caravan. It’s beautiful and balcony was perfect for the 3 kids

Unfortunately the only thing was the hot water shopped working so we had a few cold showers

The grounds are very well-tended. Very aesthetically pleasing. Quiet and peaceful environment (outside of the entertainment complex). The park is clearly well-run and we encountered no real problems.

The lack of pavements. More pedestrian walkways would make it safer for families with young children. Some minor cleanliness issues. There was food in the freezer left by the previous resident.

Facilities were good, Location quiet

Double bed could have been more comfortable, appreciate this is restricted but possibly a mattress topper

The caravan was clean, cosy and a great location. It had everything we needed for a little break away with children. The kids loved the little touch of the hot water bottles to warm up the beds on a particularly miserable day. The park is fantastic and has lots to do. Location of the caravan is great. Booking was straightforward and communication with owners was brilliant so that we could book site passes quickly to book in swimming and activities. We will be booking a stay again here in the future.

It is a beautifully decorated lodge with everything you could need. It is however freezing cold, its hard to sleep its so cold, we all ended up in one bed! All the mattresses are damp and wet, the heating that was originally put in the van is no longer sufficient. The shower door also does not close. The floor under the beds is wet and we found a used yogurt pot! They do not provide towels, tea towels or and toilet paper, i have stayed in tents that leave a bit of loo roll 🙈

No Wi-Fi - it was available in our original booking and we agreed to a change in property without realising this wasn’t yet available in the van we moved to.
