A Room with a View

Fantastic very large room with everything you could need! Lovely terrace and the little extra touches provided by the hosts make this even better. I hope to return.

It would be good to have the option to use some proper curtains/blinds, as it was so bright first thing that it was a struggle to keep sleeping. They kindly provided an eye mask, but unfortunately I cannot wear one due to sensory issues, something not uncommon.

The property is located at the end of a narrow residential street and at first glance looked nothing special! But don’t be fooled, this is a real gem of a place! Beautifully clean and bright with everything you need. Really nice balcony with bifold doors opening up to a great view. Great location, just a short walk into town. Lovely breakfast in the room, white & brown toast, crumpets, croissants, cereal, fresh orange, tea and coffee.

Wonderful room with a large terrace overlooking spectacular countryside. Probably one of the best overnight stops we have found in this country.

The walk back from town is pretty steep but we got a cab and it cost less than a fiver. Would be useful to have some cab numbers in the room so we could prebook.

Super accommodation - we only stayed one night sadly, but wouldn't look anywhere else if we were returning to Glastonbury!

Beautiful, comfortable room with patio and fantastic view. A short 10 minute walk to the town. Lovely place to relax and unwind, we will definitely return!

There was nothing we didn’t like but maybe an umbrella for the patio would be a thought for the future as it was very hot when we were there and the patio is in direct sunlight during the afternoon.

It was a joy entering the room upon arrival! It was so spacious, light, airy and clean. The bed was huge and comfortable. I loved having breakfast in bed the next morning. Location was perfect and hosts were friendly and attentive. The views over Glastonbury were stunning! All I would say is bring an eye mask if you want a lay in as there are only linen curtains (no black outs), so you'll wake up with the light in the morning. 10/10 - highly recommend!

Everything. It was spotless, well appointed & had everything we needed. The bed was very wide & comfy. The walk in wardrobe was huge & had sufficient space for a family of 5, let alone a couple. The bathroom was gorgeous. Lovely deep bath, waterfall shower (with a separate shower head to use if you don't want to get your head wet.) The little additions of cotton buds, cotton pads, an anti-slip mat & even a small first aid kit were a lovely gesture. You share a front door but the room is totally separate and secluded. The balcony was a lovely feature and you can sit out on there in total privacy. Breakfast provisions are stored in your room to eat at your own convenience. Full selection of mini boxed cereals, banana chips & raisins. Crumpets, croissants and bread for toasting. Butter, freshly squeezed orange juice, bottled water & fresh milk are stored in a mini fridge. Hosts Terry & Debbie also kindly included 2 mini bottles of Prosecco. Great choice of tea, coffee and hot chocolate are supplied plus biscuits and cake slices. The large Sony TV had great picture clarity. A selection of board games and notepad & pen are even provided. To get here, drive right to the very end of Hamlyn Road and drive straight onto the drive. (Just a final word of appreciation for this place, host Terry built the house himself to a very high standard a few years ago. His skills are obvious to see but he is also very friendly and approachable should guests need help, info about the area or anything.) We'll be back.
