The decor, the location, the wood burning stove. It all made us feel at home.

That we had to leave. The only small concern was that the downstairs shower switch that was on the out of the room needed to be labelled as it needs to be switched on to have hot water for the shower.

Beautiful accommodation, very clean and comfortable. We had a wonderful stay. Our hosts were very helpful and gave plenty information. We would definitely recommend and hope to return in the future.🙂

Everything was great

Nothing to complain about

The house was comfortable and clean and the bedrooms are a decent size. The back garden was lovely to sit in when the sun was out.

We ended up parking on the street rather than the parking space. There was definitely a knack to opening the gates.

It was bright, clean, comfortably and stylishly furnished, finished to a very high standard. Uncluttered, but still homely. Tons of thoughtful touches and home comforts like blankets on the sofa, nice selection of coffees, kitchen roll provided. Exceptional instructions given beforehand - the clearest I’ve ever had from any rental, especially in relation to heating operation. Communication from owners was first class and attentive but unobtrusive. Although on a Main Street, the windows are very good and blocked all noise from outside. Great amenities nearby with a shop that sells almost everything you could ever need and has a nice selection of butcher and baked goods supplied by local businesses. The fish and chip Shop was first rate too. The fish we had was definitely a fresh catch that day. So good!

It feels super nit-picky because it really wasn’t an issue but the only things not totally perfect is that the water pressure is quite low but not really something that can be changed and was perfectly manageable. The pillows aren’t the greatest so there were a couple of stiff necks. But those are so minor, they didn’t impact our stay. We’d definitely come back and hope to do so again. Probably worth noting for people who are not familiar with traditional fisherman/miners cottages like this, that the ceilings and doorframes are lower than more modern properties. If you are tall it’s just something to be aware of. My 6ft son affectionately called it his “hobbit house” 🤣
