Umhlanga Village - Ke Nako!

There is a bright flickering light from the smoke detector directly above the bed which is very disturbing in the dark and the TVs were too complicated to use.

The location was good , the room was good

We had a challenge with the lady at the help desk. It took a while to get the key, because she wanted to confirm with Sam and Sam wasn't picking up her calls. But eventually she gave us the key

Nothing everything was perfect We will definitely go back, the view is to die for, you can literally here the sea from the balcony.

Great location, within easy walking distance of the many excellent restaurants in Umhlanga. Free secure undercover parking. Easy process for booking in and staff were very friendly. Large comfortable room en suite, with separate well-fitted kitchenette, lounge area and outdoor balcony with sea views. Very good buffet breakfast with fresh fruit juices, fruit, well stocked continental option, and a cooked to order hot meal. Very good coffee.

I mistakenly booked into the apartments, which would be ideal for a long stay. In retrospect, however, the hotel rooms were cheaper and would have suited our purposes far better! During load shedding, there was no generator in the apartments, and consequently no airconditioning on a hot and humid Durban summer day!! I also did not read the small print and so did not take our DSTV smart card with us, which meant no TV service. Both of these problems would not have occurred if we had booked in to the hotel - my mistake!!

Overall it was a very nice setup and easy to use, etc. the flat/apartment was well equipped, well furnished and beautifully decorated. We had everything we could want or need for our stay. The location and the views.

For this trip we had nothing to complain about, bar the fact that the gym was not available (mixed comments from different staff).

The apartment is centrally located in Umhlanga and you can walk everywhere. The apartment is fully kitted with new appliances and furniture. The apartment itself is very quite and have great views over the sea. Easy communication and instructions from the host.

Location and space in the unit

It would be great in our Load shedding season that the consideration to instal an inverter would be amazing.
