Bisschen runtergekommen, nicht wirklich viele andere Backpacker, mehr Locals und somit schwer Leute für gemeinsame Aktivitäten zu finden.

Helpful staff was the standout for this hostel. It had all the basic ingredients for a good functional hostel, but the staff was very helpful and accommodated my late arrival with bike.

It was a bit run down, bathrooms, showers could use some attention.

The beds were comfortable and bathrooms quite okay clean.

The price of 38$ is too much for the quality. The right price should be around 20-25$. I only had a problem with one lady who was a little bit mental, talking to herself, going and coming in the room at all times and not quite down to earth. About the key thing, I didn’t want to pay a deposit for it, so I just came back before 20:00. But they should change that. When they mentioned weird people is basically people who are living there continuously working in the kiwi farms or in the area. Nepaleses, Indians, middle east… I don’t have any problem with that, when you get along with them and talk a bit all is better. The rooms are okay, just not too much space, true. The kitchen could be better, people burned stuff, and the cleaning is so-so. But it is cleaned at the end of the day. Feedback: - Try to accommodate backpackers in one room and people who live there permanently in the others. - Organize the kitchen better, mostly for those who work there. - Set up another key system or give the key without deposit, like in many other places.
