Beautiful house near a river, equipped with everything you need. Perfect for a relaxing stay.

The hosts waited for us to check in and showed us around wich was great. Excelent place for going up the transfagarasan

Casa Iulia & Matei is a beautiful house in a beautiful setting near to the Transfagarasan road. The rooms are simple and cozy; and the dining room is spacious and well-equipped. There's a nice garden with a covered barbeque area, a terrace overlooking the mountain stream and direct access to the stream via a gate. I was concerned at first that the main road would be noisy, and that there would be bears roaming about; but we heard the sound of the stream more than the road; and the local dogs do an excellent job of keeping the bears away. The hosts are extremely welcoming, generous and kind - and are happy to help in any way they can.

An electric kettle and access to a washing machine would have been useful to us; but neither was a massive problem.

The house is very clean, quiet and comfortable and had what we need. The parking is private and there is also a private access to the river and very nice places to sit inside and outside. The windows are protected against flies. The hosts are very nice and available for help. We came while it was raining outside and they went out to give us something to cover on the way from the car to the house. In the house there are 2 floors. In the entrance there are the saloon, kitchen and dining table. Also one bathroom with toilet. On the second floor there are 4 bedrooms with one more bathroom. Also balconies are available on that floor.

On the bathroom in the entrance floor there was some issue with the cold water. The stream is very weak so it's not convenient and also after like a minute or 2 of using it the cold water disappear and the water is too hot.

It is amazing hotel and location as well. I would recommend this hotel for perfect spending time.
