That we got to leave

The staff was not helpful at all, they did not list that you have to take a hour long shuttle just to reach the top of the hill that it’s on, and our father passed away and they wouldn’t even try to help us leave early.

I didn't want to book a property since I'd before had issues with Airbnb (which I am not longer using it, thanks for booking.com!) But this was a lot better than being in a hotel. A beautiful house, I could have stayed there for a whole week (we spent only two nights). The house was ready, so we could go in early which was a bonus. We paid 2,50 for the bus (Aug 2023) and we felt it was a better option than having our own car. Those routes/streets are very narrow and when the bus encountered a car, the car has to go in reverse sometimes for a while :o ! We heard people lost, saw most co-pilots glued to the phones for directions, I felt like a local, very relaxed. Also using public transportation is the way to go in Italy, no doubt about it!

Beautiful views of the Valley. It's a really quiet place. You will get the taste of how locals live. Gorgeous views from the windows. Kitchen has all the necessities to cook meals. The host Federica was prompt to answer all the questions.

The windows don't have screens so we couldn't really enjoy the fresh breeze and the birds' sounds. We stayed there in June, so as soon as we opened the windows mosquitos, bees and other insects would get in. :-) Hot water in the shower is I think only like 10 gallons. So use it wisely. The bathtub is designed in a way that gives you an optical illusion of being wider but it's not. The actual spot you can stay flat is narrow. One needs to be careful not to slip and fall.

View was great, perched up high. Kitchen was useable Quiet location Air cond worked well, outside was 35°C. Comfortable large bedroom Flyscreens to some windows Fireflies at nighttime along long driveway. Lots of daytime butterflies. We chose to stay longer.

Slightly difficult to find the exact accom unit in a series of buildings. Best to arrive in daylight. Parking was not allowed adjacent the buildings, as instructed by the resident neighbour . Necessary to park about 120m away, at bend in Driveway, rough rocky track, difficult to negotiate carrying luggage for our 3 night stay, and very difficult in darkness. From vehicle parking, it was 120m walk, then a further 38 tall concrete steps up to the front door. Not a deal-breaker, but would have been a consideration had we known beforehand. We would happily stay again.
