Baan Suan Kayoo 1 Long beach Aow Yai

Cottage on the waterfront at Long Beach on Ko Phayam. Had oceanview through the trees only 50 yards from the shoreline in the middle of the jungle. Enjoyed the privacy, since we were far from the restaurant and the other cottages.

The hut was pretty basic, no air condition, but electric was 24 hours despite the warning on the website otherwise. No hot water turned out to be a challenge. All in all pretty simple for the price. The resort allows camping as well, therefore the restaurant gets busy with some characters, too much drug use for my taste. Never ate there, since there are better places along the beach. Moved to another cottage down the beach eventually.

An amazing place to chill for as long as possible. This place is usually full with return visitors so if you get the chance via booking.com then take it. It’s a lot cheaper to just turn up but you’re very unlikely to get a room in season. Lovely staff, good rooms, ok food, lovely dogs and cats and the best location on the island.
