Lotus Corner - Heritage B&B

We had a really nice two night stay. The location is great and the food is lovely. The manager was really friendly and helpful, he arranged our slow boat trip to Huay Xin and kindly dried our trekking shoes!!

Some ants can get into the bathroom through the vent, maybe nothing that can be done about it though

A nice place to stay in the historic center of Luang Prabang in a quiet street. The room was okay and the bed very comfortable. A small selection of choices was available for breakfast.

The bathroom really needs a proper cleaning, especially with the very calcified fittings. The water in the sink wouldn't drain properly so I had to call someone to get it sorted.

The location is really strategic, and the staff are very friendly too. Vegan food is good.

The condition of the faucet and cabinet in the bathroom is rather old and molded which may have hygiene issues.

Seems like a total fake money grab run by non vegans. They have laminated adverts for meals with pig and fish. The breakfast is less than you get at other hotels, fruit or toast with jam, or sticky rice, only one item, not really a good breakfast meal tbh, all other hotels would give you fruit + a dish and not only sweet options. Rooms dark and small and not very clean. The AC made extremely loud banging noises all throughout the night. Fridge didn't work. Not allowed to open one window, other window faces the street. Broken shower gel dispenser - shower gel in a plastic bottle - not really something to complain about, but when their whole selling point is 'no single use plastics', you'd think they'd get that fixed. They give you water in glass bottles when you arrive, but not thereafter, so you have to go and buy plastic water bottles anyway. No kettle or anything in the room. It's considerably more expensive than other places in LPB, but you get considerably less. Served me LactaSoy (not vegan, has 2% cows milk in) as the soy milk offered in the breakfast and cafe menu. I could taste that milk fat taste when I drank it and asked to see the packet. I informed them it's not vegan and they asked me to check the almond breeze for them, and said they'd use that for breakfast. I didn't see them remove the LactaSoy from the menu or replace it with a new soya milk, so I believe they just continued serving other customers it...Definitely check/ask if you want soy milk and are vegan! Nothing special or particularly vegan about this place. Staff are friendly enough and the location is good but I didn't feel like I was supporting a vegan business.

Great location, even though there was a busy restaurant across the street, I did not hear any noise in the evening when I was inside my room. The two young men who manned the desk were so friendly and helpful! They were the best!!!

My room was on the ground floor right beside the reception desk, and 1 foot outside my door was their patio restaurant that was open to the public as well as the guests. It was not noisy, just that there was no privacy. The window in the room looked out into a courtyard where people were sitting, not far away. The bathroom was pretty funky. $55 per night was too much for this room. It was more like a $30 room. I found another place down the street for $40 per night that was so clean, comfortable, spacious, quiet.

Great location if you want to see morning ALMS - the monks pass the hotel.

- Bathroom is tiny and not very clean - would benefit from a deep clean. Generally the room didn’t feel clean. - Breakfast was tiny and extremely limited choice. - After one night a decided not to stay on - moved to another hotel (same price bracket) that had a much better breakfast

Excellent friendly staff, perfect location, great food. The rooms upstairs are better than on the ground floor.
