Nothing bad to mention

We needed an overnight stay in Pyecombe while walking the South Downs Way and are so pleased we chose Duck Lodge. The accommodation is exceptionally high quality, very private tucked away at the end of the owner's garden, and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The hot tub was brilliant to ease our aching muscles after a long day's walking. And in the morning we were presented with a superb breakfast to eat outside the lodge - a platter of fresh fruit, yogurt and granola, croissants and a wonderful selection of cheeses. Highly recommended.

It was nice to use the hot tub, we booked it because it had a charging point. There were places to eat and an m and s in walking distance and facilities to eat in the room, eg plates cutlery

There were a lot of rules! The TV over the bed didn't work at all which was disappointing. It was quite expensive for what you got. And they charged extra for charging the car. They asked to know if you had food intolerance in advance then when we arrived they made a fuss that they didn't know what to give us for breakfast. It's hard enough having food intolerances, it is incredibly rude for people to then say "well I don't know what to feed you" when they asked specifically if you had any intolerances and to tell them in advance, and claim to be able to cater for them. The food at breakfast was ok, but nothing special and quite limited, and I was not entirely convinced the milk in the coffee was dairy free I didn't feel very good for the rest of the day.

I would go as far as saying that was the best continental breakfast I’ve ever had by a long way! Thank you!
