Historic 1850s Home at the Base of Jump Mountain Near Lexington

Location is amazing, and the house itself is also a part of history, so, it is very interesting. The display of memorabilia is impressive and conducive to more reading about the previous owners. Some of the furniture is notable. Sheets and towels were clean and proper.

Entry roads are gravel roads and the climb to the property is somewhat steep. Not suitable for low cars. Property needs some serious cleaning. Pet dandruff and dust are somewhat overwhelming for those of us that are sensitive/allergic. I would expect a note about this in the listing. Not everyone likes old dolls with no eyes. Beds are proper to the time of the house, but hardly what we have come to expect in modern times. We tried to contact the host about a package that was left but got no response. After that, we solved our own toilet paper and bathroom amenities with a quick run to the Dollar Store.
