The place was 10-15 minutes walk from the centre / bus station, the room was clean and comfortable with a lovely ensuite. The check-in was easy and flexible - I especially appreciated being able to check-in earlier as there doesn’t seem to be luggage storage facility in Tekapo.

I would have loved to stay longer and take a later bus, but never received an answer whether they can help storing my luggage after the 10am check out.

Tiny room with modern conditions and decent bathroom. TV could not deliver local channels, which was annoying, but hosts tried their best.

Like the smallest hotel room ever, and plenty of noise from the rest of the property.

It was clean

Very noisy. Could hear every move from units all round. Very expensive for what it was. No microwave.

It was not a proper accommodation. It was a hut attached to the main house, where the owner was probably living. There was a door between the room and the main house. I could see the light and hear washing machine sound. Lots of disturbance. The owner also left instruction with list of items to be left on the table, failing which there will be a penalty of $50. How ridiculous and illegal. No AC also. It was too hot.

Good location, not far from the lake

Just be aware that there are no windows and no air conditioning. The entry door is a glass sliding door, which the sun will shine right through if the curtains are left open and heats up the room. It was 85 degrees in there when we arrived. There is a small, inefficient fan to use, but it didn’t help much. Also, this unit is sandwiched in between two other rooms with little insulation, so you take a chance on having noisy neighbors.
