Eddies Lodge & Spa 3 bedroom cottage

Lovely clean property, with everything you could need. The hottub was amazing. They left treats out for the kids, even an Easter egg hunt. Very relaxing stay, would highly recommend for families

This is our second time staying here, everything was absolutely perfect, we arrived quite late but the host sent us directions to the lodge earlier in the day. We had our 2 dogs with us and the host gave us suggestions for some beautiful walks that we would have never found on our own. The place is immaculate, it was a proper home from home and we didn't want to leave. The hot tub area is completely private, you really do have your own personal spa. The hosts were so helpful, but not intruding, I cannot thank them enough for such a lovely stay, I cannot wait to come back.

Detailed Review - Never in our lives have we experience such bad customer service. First- Prior to arrival I texted the host for the address, as I couldn’t find it on Google maps, and there was confrontation as I booked for 2 adults; and she said the was one adult on her booking confirmation. Further checking of the confirmation confirmed I booked 2 adults, yet this was still brought up multiple times as if it was my fault I booked two adults. Secondly, the checkout is at 11- we were told to text when we have left to let the cleaner know. At 11:05 we were getting phone calls from the host and when we answered she was extremely aggressive saying checkout was at 11 and the cleaners at the door. Whilst we should have been out for 11, this is no way to speak to customers. The host finally introduced herself following this, coming over to the property basically just to continue telling us off over the booking confirmation. Third- we were extremely quiet the night before, not listening to music etc, my boyfriend was literally sleeping in the hot tub- and the host rang us to say there was a noise complaint? Which is extremely unlikely as again, we weren’t playing music etc and we weren’t even talking we were both relaxing in silence in the hot tub. Fourth-website states pet friendly at no extra cost, we brought out tiny dog that is trained and completely harmless, and this was also fought about this morning. Fifth- no instruction anywhere on the property- which makes customers feel like these features are only included for show and not for customers to actually use- this includes the important features requiring instructions such as the sauna as well as other things like the coffee machine. Whilst the air B and B itself is nice, the lack of customer service skills from the host is extremely off-putting, rude, confrontation, aggressive and we will obviously not be back.

hot tub sauna and all facilities were first class. additional touches like food and drinks left for us were unexpected but nice.
