NEW Paddler's Inn- 3BR Hilo Downtown

Wonderful place; we felt there at home. Spacious, comfortable, fully equipped. They had everything we needed. Loved the Hawaian style. This place is the house of my dreams in Hawaii. Mahalo 😊

Everything was perfect.

I bought some ingredients from a nearby grocery store that had been recommended and made breakfast. I was touched to find that even the ice in the freezer and the basic seasonings like salt and pepper were thoughtfully prepared.

The experience was nearly flawless. The only minor issues were that the non-stick frying pan was somewhat worn, causing the eggs to stick, and there was a faint odor coming from the rubber seal of the washing machine.

All was perfect!

All was just perfect.

The bungalow was perfect for a family of four. It was close to downtown Hilo and the major roads to all attractions north, south and west of the island. It had all the amenities for a comfortable stay and plenty of beach gear from chairs, umbrellas snd boogie boards to snorkels, fins and towels. Best of all, each adorably decorated rooms had AC.

Nothing

The property was very clean and cozy and as pictured. It is close to the city center but slightly removed in a nice neighborhood. The kitchen is outfitted well. Newer washer and dryer. Our group appreciated the decor and the local coffee, honey and cookies left for us by the host.

The 3 windows air conditioners in the bedrooms were not really able to adequately cool the living room, where one of our group members slept on the sofa. Not something the host can control; but the invasive frogs in the surrounding bushes chirp loudly at night. Earplugs are supplied by the host, which we did not use.

House was a nice place to stay, as advertised.

I booked this property 7 months in advance for 6 guests. The listing stated there were 3 bedrooms with 1 bed each and a sofa bed in the living room. When we arrived, the living room couch did not appear to be a sofabed and I asked for clarification. I received the following response: Great! There is the ottoman in the kitchen which has extra pillows and sheets in them the sofa can sleep one person if you have a bigger party. Our house has a guest count max at 5 total. Enjoy your time in Hilo! In short, the listing is not accurate and the response i received implies that sheets on a couch makes it a sofa bed and that we had too many people, even though the booking was for 6.

Extremely comfortable and charming. Great location. Thoughtfully appointed with snorkel gear, yoga mat, ukulele and reading material The beds were very comfortable and good pressure in the shower. We really appreciated the spacious lay out of the house

Navigating all the stairs to the front door is tricky with heavy suitcases. There was very noisy construction work going on in the basement of the house during the last 2 days of our stay one of which was Mother’s Day. We would have appreciated some forewarning about this.
