It smelt damp there was dehumidifier in bedroom the cupboards in the kitchen all smelt damp the shower blocked up and I definitely would not stay again

Avoid booking this property. There is no live customer support—only automated responses—and communication is virtually non-existent. Upon entering the bedroom and bathroom areas, we were immediately hit with a strong musty, damp odor, indicating serious moisture problems. The bathroom had two layers of unsealed lino flooring, both completely soaked, with clear signs of damp and mold underneath. The mattress was not sprung but a hard block of foam, offering little to no comfort. The kitchen wall cabinet where cups were stored also smelled strongly of mildew. Due to the poor and unsanitary condition of the apartment, we chose not to stay and left shortly after arrival. Despite reaching out for assistance and requesting a refund, we received no response whatsoever. This apartment does not meet basic health and safety standards and would likely not qualify for a legal rental license. Booking this property is a serious risk — you may lose your money and be left with nowhere safe to stay.

The location was excellent, close to town and in a quiet, pleasant area. The communication with Host & Stay was also excellent - they were very helpful. The flat was clean and comfortable. It was nice to have tea and coffee and cleaning products available.

The flat was a bit shabby and the provision of toiletries could have been a bit more generous (one shower gel sachet and one loo roll provided for 2 people, for two nights). Some of the crockery/cutlery wasn't clean.
