Villa Dewi Parwati - Private Villa with Pool - North Bali - private cook

Beautiful property with everything you require in it. 3 lovely staff ladies who will cook for you every day if required. The gardener comes every day to sweep the terrace and clean the pool which is a big bonus. Lots of ceiling fans and AC in the bedroom work very well.

Unfortunately the location of this property was the only let down for us as without a scooter there aren’t really any options for sightseeing or places to eat but we enjoyed the meals in the villa very much.

Magnifique Villa avec du personnel avenant. Yus nous a montré les merveilles du nord avec sa bonne humeur et ses bons plans. L'équipement de la villa était complet et la cuisine bien réalisée à la demande par les 3 gouvernantes.

Ce n'était pas le coin tranquille espéré. Les animaux du voisin sont très bruyants y compris la nuit. Le jardinier passe trop tôt et nous réveille. Enfin les matelas des lits mériteraient un remplacement.

Tout est fabuleux. La villa est juste incroyable avec une déco magnifique. Très cocon et confort. Le personnel charmant. Le service proposé pour les repas est au top a un prix plus que raisonnable. Le manager nous a même accompagné dans nos excursions a un prix très correct et avec plein d'humour.

Rien en dehors des chants du coq et des canards qui ne s arrêtent jamais et qui sont très presents.

I stayed at this lovely place with my daughter for a week and we had a wonderful time. The photos you see on booking don’t do justice to how lovely it really is. Everything is well taken care of and the staff is amazing. We felt like we’ve landed in a little fairytale boutique hotel, but then just for us.

There isn’t anything I can think of that we didn’t like

The villa is beautifully appointed with modern appliances and a consistent sense of local style throughout - beautiful wood carvings and finishings, great lighting, beautiful bathrooms and plants. The villa was private and very comfortable. The pool is big and clean, and we enjoyed it a lot. The owner had especially bought an inflatable toy for our daughters, which was a lovely personal touch. The garden is well maintained, exotic and beautiful. There are lots of small relaxing areas around the pool too. The villa offers a cooking service with a private chef. Wayan, Putu and Aya were wonderful at organising our meals - they were always on time and the meals went beyond our expectations everytime. They also showed us how to prepare stuffed tofu, which was fun. The team was friendly, always welcoming us with a smile, and it made our stay special. Yus, the property manager, was also our driver. He came to pick us up all the way in Ubud and took us back to Kuta at the end of our stay. He took us to several attractions on the way to and from the villa such as Mount Batur, Lake Beratan and a coffee farm. It was also a great way to learn more about local life and culture. Yus was very friendly and had a great sense of humour. He also helped us with booking activities such as dolphin watching which can be accessible from the beach next to the villa. There is also a spa service available which we used twice. We were very pleased with the service.

No negatives regarding the villa and the service it was perfect! To be aware of: There are no restaurants available in the vicinity of the villa and those close by are only accessible by car. You need to plan your days ahead to ensure you can have a driver. Grab and Gojek cars are not available in the area (only bikes). The beach nearby is a black sand beach and is not incredibly inviting for swimming.

The villa feels warm, welcoming, and full of character. Beautifully decorated with lots of love and attention to detail. The pool in the middle of the house is stunning, and the location is perfect: just 150 meters from the beach, where you can hop on a boat to see dolphins. The staff, Wayan and Putu, were absolutely wonderful: kind, caring, and always ready to help. They made us feel at home right away with a welcome drink and amazing service. They prepared breakfast, lunch, and dinner for us every day (we only had to pay for groceries), and I went with them to the market to have a local experience. Yus helped us organize excursions and rent a scooter. Their hospitality was genuine and heartfelt, not driven by money, just true kindness. We want to go back!!

The Wi-Fi can be a bit unstable at times, fine for general use, but not ideal if you need to do video calls. Also, like in many places in Bali, you’ll hear roosters in the morning, so bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper! The layout of the villa is something to keep in mind if you’re traveling with young children: the second bedroom is in a separate guesthouse across the pool. It worked fine for us with a baby monitor, but it’s something to consider. The pool itself is beautiful, but families with small kids might want to take extra precautions.
