Very conveniently located with big outside entertainment area and view of the sea, easy access to the beach.

The location of the property is just one of a kind with an amazing outdoor area looking over part of the lagoon. The amazing outdoor area with grass allowed for the days to be spent in the fresh air and a great chill spot with a view.

37 Steps has a beautiful sea view, lies in a quiet cul de sac and is near a small private beach. It is a convenient, well-equipped holiday house, and with a lovely undercover patio to relax.

The two gates at the front part of the house cannot be locked and is a security risk. The requirement to make a copy of your credit card when you check-in, is highly unusual and risky for good reasons. Seemingly, there was no proper quality control over the cleaning services, because some areas and upholstered furniture were not sufficiently cleaned and vacuumed, and we had to clean it ourselves. The house also needs a good “deep cleanse”, especially the rugs and upholstery. The kitchen inventory checking system is impractical whereby new guests are obliged to check it and report any missing or damaged items to the company within the first hour of arrival – actually duplicating what the agency or their cleaning team, as well as the previous guests, are supposed to do before the house was handed over to us. When looking at the inventory, we established that it was not updated and incomplete: some items are more and others less than indicated on the inventory, and expensive pots, pans and glass serving dishes are currently not listed. None of these discrepancies were brought to our attention when we booked in, and we therefore can only assume that the inventory was not checked by the previous guests, the cleaning team or the rental agency prior to our arrival at the house. This can result in liability risks for all parties concerned. The rental agency should therefore take steps to ensure updated inventories, as well as a proper and practical checking system if they want to continue to use this as a monitoring tool for losses and/or damaged items linked to the compulsory R2000 breakage fee we have to pay prior to arrival. We had a pleasant stay, but if Langebaan Holiday Homes, the rental agency, can attend to solutions for the abovementioned complaints, it would be an even better experience next time.

Perfect spot for a relaxing stay with friends. Five stars for the tranquility and cherished memories created. Just a few steps to the beach! Amazing! We received such a warm welcome at check-in which made the stay even more memorable. We will be back!
