The facilities were modern clean and tastefully decorated. Everyone was welcoming and nice! They have a great roof terrace with amazing views of the lucanian valley.

Located on the main street of Velina, well-positioned for exploration of the region's ancient archaeological heritage: an 11-minute drive from the archaeological park of the ancient Greek city of Velia, a 45-minute drive to the ancient Lucanian city, archaeological museum, and antiquarium at Roccagloriosa, and a 21-minute drive to the archaeological park of the ancient Greco-Lucanian city of Moio della Civitella. Comfortable bunk beds, clean bathrooms (you need to bring your own shampoo; towel set for €5), and a good kitchen for cooking your own food. There's a panini place next door that serves meaty burgers, and Bar Aurora catty-corner across the street by the gas station is absolutely where you want to go for breakfast: the lady who runs it is most hospitable, and when I wandered in on a Sunday and asked if they had sandwiches, they didn't but she went and bought me two! For a reasonable price!
