"Our surprise favorite stay in Japan! A real home with real personality"

A real gem! Traditional, warm, great facilities, homey, great gifts and amenities from the owner, handmade guides from the owner helped us enjoy his beautiful village. The view of the river from the bedroom is amazing. It made us wish we had more time here to just sit and evening and enjoy a homecooked meal in the property.

It’s a 15 minute walk from the bus station, which is a slog if you’re heavy laden with luggage, like we were. Nothing bad about the property itself, just a warning

"We really enjoyed our stay!"

We had a very nice room with the view of the river, the room was comfortable and there was a lot of great stuff in the shared space! The hand made Shirakawago travel guide was super cute and helpful, we really recommend this place if you are ever visiting :)

"Überraschend einfach"

Das Hsus ist einfach und funktional. Personal haben wir nicht gesehen, es war aber in unserer Abwesenheit aktiv. Die Verdsorgung mit Lebensmitteln war gut und ersparte das Einksufen. Im Ort gibt es kaum Auswahl. Eine feundliche Mail erreochte uns nach der Abreise. In Summe kann man dort mehrere Tage gut verbringen.

Die Küche und die Sanitärräume bedürfen eines upgrades. Dusche und WC entlüften in die Küche und der Fußboden in der Küche könnte gut ausgeglichen werden damit die Gäste nicht stolpern.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour. La chambre était assez grande, les parties communes propres. Les propriétaires sont adorables ! Ils laissent de la nourriture à disposition pour les personnes arrivant tard (car il n'y a pas vraiment de restaurants ouverts tard le soir). Nous étions en voiture et ils nous ont permis de rester garé chez eux le temps de notre visite. Le village n'est vraiment pas très loin, l'emplacement est super
