Avenue Road Serviced Apartment

The apartment is in a quiet residential street with easy access to the centre and train station. Once everyone was asleep the building was very quiet at night. The staff were friendly when I had to communicate with them prior to my arrival. The apartment was very clean upon my arrival. Nice shower. I would stay again but in the summer the next time so the apartment should be warmer.

Very old building and high ceilings which meant a very cold apartment and the apartment was very large and hard to heat up with the tiny radiators. The apartment is on the ground floor right by the entrance door, so lots of slamming the door and other residents coming and going. A paper thin cheap mattress and paper thin pillows. The tiny bed was extremely uncomfortable to sleep on. No window blinds in the kitchen which meant the residents in front could look right into the apartment. The WI-FI appeared to be weak. The mattress cover was dirty. One could clearly hear the people upstairs walking around. A £250 refundable deposit which was released right after check out. There is also a £5 verification fee prior to arrival.

Very modern living space, lovely bathroom and great shower, close to town and restaurants, and train station. Ideal location.

The couch/sofa bed is very uncomfortable to sleep on. I drew the short straw and gave my daughters the bed, which meant 3 uncomfortable sleeps.

Location Comfort Facilities

Perfect location for a trip with a toddler- right next to Victoria Park, 5 min walk to Parade. Apartment was cosy, nice clean bathroom with wide shower space.

Was cold as ground floor, big radiator in living room didn’t work hence couldn’t warm up the place properly. A bit loud from all other occupants of the building.

It was freezing and there was no heating. The instructions are confusing as to where the key is. But it was warmer to sleep in my car. Terrible facilities for a night where it snowed.
