"horrible, dirty"

1.0

it was easy to reach and in a nice area

I am extremely disappointed after staying at your property in Manchester in the last week. I’m sorry to say but there’s loads of repairs needed. I can attach photos as well in the email to show like the bathroom was an absolutely disgusting condition and so was the kitchen. The sofa was not clean. Mark all over it. We had marked and stuff white marks on our our pill Other things also with the property there wasn’t any toilet roll. It was not clean at all. There’s like mould the kitchen as well under the boiler cupboard rotting all the tiles in the kitchen cracked and the heating in the living room was working either the prop is not off today and as advertised I’m sorry to say but it needs repairs done the heating didn’t work. We were freezing in the living room for two days. We can sit downstairs because the downstairs heater wasn’t working. When I seen the advertisement i thought this would be a nice clean place to stay but i wouldn’t recommend to anyone with children due to cleanliness issues, property needs sorted.

"Cancelled booking on the day"

Host cancelled booking while stood there waiting to check in . Left stranded in Manchester on oasis weekend so spent birthday searching for more accommodation, and left having to go to really poor rooms as all we could get at short notice . Ruined whole weekend .

"DO NOT STAY HERE."

1.0

Quiet location.

This is a filthy, dirty property. The "cleaning charge" that was included in the price should be reimbursed at the very least The cleaning charge was taken under false pretences - I might pursue this in the SMALL CLAIMS COURT. Dirty crockery was left in the sink, glasses in the cupboard with lipstick marks - eurgh, The bath plughole was blocked with (human?) hair. Bathroom tiles were smashed or missing. The bath panel was swollen and degraded from sucking up water The kitchen floor was so sticky that I didn't want to take my shoes off. The stair carpet was completely awful. I have taken photographs of all the above. I had to sleep fully clothed it was so filthy. I STAYED HERE SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO.

"This host seriously needs to do some basic maintenance before accepting any more guests."

The water was hot in the morning, but only cos I pressurised the boiler myself (see below)

I don’t normally leave scathing reviews, but this stay went so badly that I felt compelled to write this. I hadn’t had any comms from the host since booking. We were in the middle of a 2-day job and driving down to Manchester from N Yorkshire. I had to call the number on the booking email whilst driving there… which said ‘number not recognised’. Not a great start. My colleague then emailed the host, he eventually called me back as we were at the front door. He gave me the key box code and we got in, he said he had sent the arrival instructions. This was 18:50 and I had a zoom meeting at 19:00 and needed to hook up to the WiFi asap. Had to call him again to get the WiFi code as arrival instructions still not received. Eventually got the instructions and hooked on to wifi. Which was so slow, I could barely run the speed test. Came back at 0.03 Mb/s up, 0.00 down. Seriously? Had to sack that off and use my 4G. The house looked tired, 2 internal doors were hanging off their hinges, unable to shut including the main bedroom. The back door was super sketchy, didn’t look secure even when locked. I also couldn’t get any hot water before bed, went to check the boiler and the pressure gauge was at zero. Luckily I have a similar boiler so I was able to re-pressurise it myself before showers in the morning. The bed sheets were incredibly thin, not a duvet in sight. Luckily had a sleeping bag liner in my van that I went to grab. I was woken up at 05:30 by the radiator in my bedroom making clicking noises (heating was not switched on afaik). Not a good way to start the day. The bathroom smelled bad, had lots of cracked tiles. Had a (thankfully) hot shower, once I got out I saw that water had leaked everywhere onto the floor from various unsealed points. All in all, not a pleasant stay. I actively wanted to book something independent on this trip rather than the usual hotel chain beigeness, but after this experience I’ve had a hard steer back towards premier inn.
