One of the best rooms we stayed in Sri Lanka and with a great manager looking after the place! We managed to also get a last minute reservation at the restaurant as we were staying here despite the queues in the evening to have dinner here. They don’t do breakfast but their recommended places were good!

They close the door after 11 so need to inform security about coming back late or leaving early

If you want to be in the centre of Galle Fort and the cool relaxed vibes don’t stay anywhere else. Amazing staff especially Ismail and the girls who really look after you. The restaurant is amazing as well.

Be sure to ask about the hot water but that’s all. Also there is a snotty bar manageress but stick with Ismael and the team and you will be on cloud nine and have a wonderful time!

Such a gem of a hotel! The interiors were gorgeous; the restaurant served great food in an ambient setting; the location was perfect, and above all Ismail and his team were nothing short of exceptional hosts.

Beautiful property in the Old Dutch Fort. Tastefully designed rooms and spaces that blend between classical Sri Lankan Colonialism and Modern flair. Super comfortable bed, clean and roomy. Ismail the manager was incredibly delightful and a help with every need we had.

Very lovely spacious room and bathroom. Bed was very comfy.

It felt more like an apartment than a hotel. The room doesn’t get tidied at the end or beginning of the day, the bins don’t get emptied, the fridge doesn’t get restocked.
