Beehive Salford Quays immaculate 1-Bed Flat with free-parking

The tram stop was close by which was convenient and in walking distance to get to the city centre and surrounding area.

The property was definitely NOT immaculate. Key collection and drop off was from a local shop which was on a main road with no parking. We wanted to check out super early on the Sunday and the shop did not open until 8 am so we had to wait to be able to drop the keys off We were told the allocated parking spot by the agent and when we got there a car was already parked there. A resident of the flats told us that the spot we had been told to park in did not belong to the flat we were staying in and there had been a lot of issues regarding this. I called the agent who was letting this apartment and she seemed surprised. I parked in another spot which the resident said would be ok and the agent eventually also confirmed this was fine. Overall this was a very stressful and disorganised start to the stay. When entering the apartment block itself it smelt of a rubbish tip and the flat itself smelt of wet dog. It was overwhelming and horrible. We opened all of the windows but as the apartment is on the ground floor and near a busy road and we are three females we did not feel comfortable leaving them open and it was very warm so we didn’t sleep well. The apartment was not clean to standards that are required given the description of immaculate is stated as a promotional opening description of the property. It was dirty in many places. Particularly in the bathroom which was superficially clean only and behind the toilet cistern does not look like it has ever been cleaned. The property needs a complete deep clean. The decor is tired and the finish of a shocking standard in many places. Particularly the doors and the bathroom. The agent who manages the property insists on guest signing a contract and there are fines for damages etc (which is fair enough) but there are already stains on furnishings and towels provided along with poor decor so I found this fairly cheeky.

Absolutely filthy black mold around the bath tub and door frame sofa bed was broken and filthy wet washing left in the dryer the glasses were filthy ruined our entire weekend DONT STAY HERE!!!

Key collection straight forward. Parking felt secure and was conveniently located. Facilities adequate for short stay, Sofa and bed comfortable.

On arrival wet washing had been left in washing machine and towels in dryer and remained throughout 4 night stay. Fridge unclean. Bathroom needs ventilation as strong damp odour. Only one towel, no second hand towel available for 4 night stay. No bath mat. As previous reviews indicate the flat from would benefit from a deep clean and refresh to meet expectations of price and advertised images.

It was not immaculate as described! The photos show the state of repair and poor cleaning but they can’t show the odour. The bathroom smelt damp, the living area of stale cooking and the bedroom like a wet dog! The owner had helpfully left plenty of air freshener cans but this didn’t disguise the underlying problems.

Water pressure and hot water was brilliant. The sofas were comfortable too. Washing machine and dryer were in brilliant working condition which made doing my laundry without taking it back with me. Property has a smart TV with all of the apps. Heating warms up the apartment quickly. I liked how big the fridge freezer was. There’s 2 heaters in the living area and one in the bedroom - if you have children you need to be careful as these get VERY hot.

It was unclean. The pictures advertised show an ‘immaculate’ flat but it was far from it. There was dust, cobwebs, spiders and hair that I ended up cleaning because my 1 year old was crawling around in it. It is very run down and needs renovating. The pics advertised are probably from when it was brand new. Pots and pans were dirty too and the bathroom shower screen has mould. Cleaners need to do a more thorough clean. Dining chairs are all stained and cooker and oven were filthy. Honestly if the level of cleanliness and maintenance is improved this would be a very lovely apartment.
