Location, clean, exactly as advertised

No issues.

House was clean and furnishings were nice. Good location. Nice guidebooks with ideas of things to do in Lexington. Back patio was great.

Yard was not mowed but the owner did offer to mow while we were there. Only 1 tv in the house. And beds were a little hard for my liking but overall a good stay.

Truthfully, nothing.

Where to start? First of all, I had requested early check-in the day prior to my stay. I was notified that there was someone staying there the night prior to my stay and that they couldn’t promise early check-in, which was fine. The problem was that I repeatedly had to message the owners the day of check-in to find out whether or not early check-in would be an option. We were able to check-in approximately 45 minutes early, which was not helpful at all. Upon arriving to the property, we noticed that the appearance of the house was poor and not in a very safe or welcoming neighborhood. There was a busy road in front of the home and there were constantly ambulances and police cars driving by, keeping us awake at night. The Nespresso coffee machine did not work, causing us to drive for coffee every morning. We washed clothes and a pillow on the first night and had to throw away the pillow due to the washer not functioning properly and leaving the pillow saturated with water. The clothes did wash, but the dryer did not work well and we had to dry the clothes for 3 separate cycles, causing my sweaters to become damaged. The backyard is NOT secure and the fencing looks horrible. This was not apparent in the pictures online. The grass in the yard is overgrown and my dog got a tick while being outside the home. The worst part was the awful, uncomfortable mattresses at this property. All of the beds were extremely hard, causing my scoliosis to flare and leaving me being nearly unable to walk during my vacation. I slept on the couch for the majority of the trip. The “smart lock” locked us outside of the home as well, causing us to have to call the owners to get let into the home. To top it off, we received a message after check-out notifying us that we would be charged a $150 pet cleaning fee (which was in no way disclosed in the advertisement) for our service dog.
