Mid century modern condo near Old Town, pool & BBQ

The building was very welcoming upon arrival, clean and bright. The decor was wonderful and all the facilities you need for your stay. The coffee shop on the corner is great and handy too. Undercover parking to keep the car cool.

Location was perfect for our group. Very walkable.

The condo was nice! Good location.

Pool can be nicer, hot tub would be a plus.

Great location, the lock functioned nicely and the place was quiet for sleeping.

The only criticism is the entry gate is a pain. You have to reach to the ground and pull up a latch and also open one at the top. It’s an entry type from the 1970’s and is a chore.

The location is great, really close to Old Town but far enough away in a quiet residential area. Arrival was smooth. We didn't realize at first that the outside metal door didn't need a code to open it, but getting in was fast and easy once we used the code on the unit door lock. Everything was in great condition. The beds were comfy and the bedrooms were spacious. The living room was well-appointed and the kitchen had everything we needed. Everything worked well in the bathroom too. We liked the mid-century vibe of the decor and it looks like the owners had fun finding appropriate items that fit with this. The online renter's guide was informative and complete. There were good suggestions about places to eat and things to do. Scottsdale has a lot of restaurants and bars nearby, so you don't have to cook meals unless you want to. We didn't use the pool or outdoor grill since we were visiting family and we spent most of our time at their place. Checkout went great as well. We just walked out and locked the door behind us and the managers took care of the rest.

There were a few things to note. 1. The covered parking space for the unit is not large. Our Honda Passport (rental) barely squeezed in and didn't leave a lot of space on either side for the doors to open. You may want to think about bringing a smaller vehicle like a midsize SUV or sedan. Also, it took us a few tries to find the best route to and from the covered parking. You have to enter on the north side of the building, not at the street address of the building. 2. The lighting in the living room and over the dining table is rather dim. We didn't open the window shades much to maintain some privacy, but that may have helped. 3. The A/C didn't seem to be very strong, even when set to the requested lowest temperature of 77. I didn't want to set it any lower, but that might have helped. We had a couple of questions about specific items for which I emailed the property manager directly. I'm not going to put them in a review. I will say that the managers responded quickly and the questions were answered satisfactorily.

-The location: an easy walk into Old Town, particularly if you enjoy walking, and quiet for sleeping. -My sister and I are very small and even after dark, we felt safe walking in the neighborhood and staying in the condo. -Very clean and comfortable, with excellent amenities. So nice to have coffee and tea provided!
