River Cottage Brecon: Hot Tub, Fire, Balcony, Wifi

Its gorgeous location is right on top of a babbling river. We visited in October and it was brilliantvto see lovely birds and wildlife visiting the river. Very quiet location . Dark skies excellent for star gazing. The cottage was very comfortable and well appointed. It's great to have log burner and a hot tub. Family bathroom with big bath. Rooms comfy. There is only one double bed and two single rooms which were comfy too, and one had ensuite. Great 2-hour walk up to Battle Hill and over it on to Pwllgloyw Arms (excellent pub food) . Parking for a non estate car at the site. Excellent response from cottage owner when called as we couldn't find key safe - we had gone to the wrong cottage because we walked past the right one!! Whilst the details say no mobile signal, we are on EE, and this was available, and the cottage has excellent WiFi. Extremely good lounge area and TV. Kitchen was fabulous. Dining room had small balcony over river offering different perspective.

It would be even more perfect with a shop or pub shorter walking distance though Brecon is not far in the car and offers great choice of supermarkets or local independent shops. One more double bed would make it even more fantastic.

Cottage was warm and tidy had everything ypu needed, beautiful landscape and the farmers next to us were lovely, nice watching the sheep go past in the morning and friendly too made us feel at home

- The beds were comfortable - Hot tub overlooking the river and luscious trees - strong WiFi connections - comfortable sofas - lovely sunny balcony in the morning - safe area which is great when you’ve got mountain bikes stored in your car

A very comfortable, well equipped cottage in a peaceful location. The balcony over the river is such a lovely tranquil place to sit. We very much enjoyed our stay.
