3BD Victorian Townhouse Near Norfolk Broads 4A, 2C

Home was lovely and very clean. Had everything we needed to make our holiday great and close to Beccles Railway station and shopping centre. Great Pubs close by and a lovely coffee shop also near by. Will definitely stay here again !

The house itself was a beautiful Victorian town house with lots of original features in a great location, yards from the station and town centre.

Kitchen and bathroom very dated and in need of refurbishment so they are in keeping with the lounge dining area which has been decorated beautifully. Just 1 bathroom (which had a leaking toilet system where we had to constantly empty the bucket that was placed underneath) was an issue for us but that was my fault for not checking when I booked. The courtyard garden was completely full of really tall well established weeds which we spent around an hour pulling out so that we could take advantage of what should have been a lovely outside space. No welcome pack explaining how things worked. Couldn’t fathom the complicated 2 TVs, dropped a message to the “happy to help desk” no reply so had to watch TV on our tablet. My main issue though was the £300 deposit that the management company take from you 1 week prior to your stay and only return 2 weeks after your departure ! This wasn’t made clear at the pre booking stage (note to self, always check the property rules) I have experienced HOLDING deposits before but this company actually TAKE IT for a month and you have no way of proving existing problems within the property prior to your stay that you are not responsible for because no one comes and does a check in your presence, you just have to hope they don’t blame you and keep the money ! This was a real issue for us and made us feel on edge throughout our stay and of course we had £300 les spending money. I think it’s important that any future guests are made aware of this deposit scheme so they can make an informed choice when booking because had we known we would not have booked and has deterred us from booking in the future.

Lovely townhouse, clean, good location

We had no hot water or gas for our entire 3-night stay. The only solution from the “customer service” at Booking.com was suggesting we boil water and use that to bathe.

Large rooms, lovely decoration in the living room.

Shower was very slow to go hot, and oven was tricky to turn on then use (took longer to cook everything)
