DERuhige Lage. Viele Parkplätze. Wanderweg am Haus. Großzügige Wohnräume, stylisch eingerichtet. Bequeme Sofas und Betten. Grosser Balkon. Kirkby ist ein nettes Marktstädchen mit Läden und Pubs. Ein Pub im Ort mit gutem Sunday Roast.
Ein Baugerüst vor der Rückseite des Hauses, vor unserem Balkon- daher kaum Sonne. Die Bretter wurden mehrfach von Arbeitern betreten, mussten aus Sicherheitsgründen die Balkontüren geschlossen halten. Schmutzige Fenster Keine Liegen und kein Esstisch auf dem Balkon. Einfaches Ikea Besteck und lautes stumpfes Geschirr, keine große Salatschüssel. Plexiglas Abdeckungen auf allen Holzoberflächen, zerkratzt, Schmutz unter den Rändern. Ein Staubsauger stand im Flur. Kaum grün ums Haus, überall Kies. Kommunikation über Alexa/ Privatsphäre?!

GBExcellent apartment. Very spacious (ideal for the four of us), comfortable, clean, and well equipped. Great balcony area. Communications, directions, and instructions from the hosts were all very timely and comprehensive. Very easy check-in process. Casterton is well situated for access to the Lakes and Dales. We had a great meal in the nearby Pheasant Inn and several trips to the brilliant Kirkby Lonsdale Brewery.

There was a full length blind on the glass door to the terrace of the master bedroom., couldn't open it but didn't want to force it so I followed the instruction in the folder a rang the number for help. It seemed to be answered by a call centre and they said that they would contact the owner in order to get help which never happened. and eventually I managed to shut the blind but left it closed for our whole stay in case I couldn't open and close it the next day which kept the room dark all day. We asked Alexa for local information ie coffee shops near Kirkby Lonsdale but it listed places that were not local. so it wasn't a good alternative to a folder of local information.
