Scholar's Loft - Cosy & Close to Central Cambridge

Lovely apartment and great base for exploring Cambridge. It’s about a half an hour walk into town and there’s a lovely pub along the way for a swift break. The apartment was extremely clean with lots of amenities and toiletries.

The property is located on a busy road. If you want to sleep and relax, it’s not the right choice for you. The house is shaking every time a truck is passing by, and it happens quite frequently. It was dusty. Also, I’ve never witnessed such a rude host. We left a car on his parking after we checked out. He wrote us passively aggressive messages about that. I answered politely, that we will keep in mind his feedback for future (I’m not a native English speaker, maybe answering like that is rude). But what the host did was shocking. When we came back to our car, it was blocked by his car. When I called him and asked politely to let us go, he answered: “I’m not inclined to”. When I asked him why, he told that I was being rude with him… So the host decided that he can limit our freedom only because he felt that I was being rude. When I told him that I believe that he was being rude, he answered with the words, which I can’t write publicly, but it was very offensive. So if you are inclined to have a nice stay in Cambridge, you should find another place.

A beautiful little hideaway in Cambridge! The room was decorated with all manner of interesting things, and all the amenities were well stocked. A lovely location too.

La déco, le confort, la propreté, la réactivité du logeur quand nous lui avons signalé un problème avec les électroménagers.

Il manquait certaines petites choses pour rendre le séjour vraiment exceptionnel. Dans la salle de bain : quantité de gel douche insuffisante et absence de verre à dent. Manque d'outils dans la cuisine : pas de passoire pour égoutter les aliments, aucun récipient pour réchauffer au micro-ondes ou pour stocker les aliments dans le frigo, rien pour couvrir une poêle sur le feu, pas de couteau d'office. La préparation du repas était un peu acrobatique.

Das Loft hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Die Fotos werden dem nicht gerecht. Es ist größer und komfortabler als man es auf den Fotos sieht.

Leider direkt an einer befahrenen Straße. Hat uns nicht vom Schlafen anbgehalten, aber wer 100 % Ruhe sucht, wird sie hier nicht finden.
