Avocet House Hunstanton 250m from the sea

The cottage was beautifully appointed and a very short walk to the sea front. Lovely touches throughout and Claire and Kevin thought of everything, even down to those "I forgot to pack" items. Everything we needed for a restful break provided. We took our dog who was made to feel very welcome too. Bedroom was well appointed and the bed was so comfortable, in fact we had a better night's sleep than at home! 😴😂 The kitchen was fantastic with everything you ask for, beautiful crockery and even tea and coffee provided, along with milk in the fridge and biscuits 😋. The only drawback for me personally was that the kettle was ceramic which made it quite heavy when full, so for me personally it was difficult to lift and pour, but luckily I had my husband to make my cups of tea so I'm not complaining. Lovely bathroom with a big shower. Again, lots of thought and detail went into providing guests with everything they needed. The property is a cottage so the stairs were quite steep, we expected this but my husband did find them a bit difficult, but we managed. Taking our time and eyes on the treads, it took me until the 2nd day to see the decorative ore's 😉 Overall a lovely gem of a cottage which I have pleasure in recommending.

Loved Avocet House. Beautifully appointed. Everything we needed. Hunstanton beaches just remarkable . Doggy in heaven. One small observation - staircase is difficult for older people. Another wraparound handrail on left would be most welcome. Otherwise superb, quite the best

The owners have gone above and beyond to make this a lovely base for a stay in Hunstanton. The property is very conveniently located a few minutes walk from town and the promenade. Inside, there were a number of special touches for visitors and their dogs, very well equipped and cozy. No doggie smell whatsoever so obviously clean and nicely maintained to appeal to all guests. Plenty of on street parking, very quiet street, we really enjoyed our stay at Avocet House which provided a lovely long weekend break to celebrate my wife's birthday. The hosts left a surprise for her on arrival which was a lovely touch, unexpected and appreciated.

Honestly couldn't think of anything negative to say about the property or our visit.

We watched a lot of TV during the evenings but the sofa was very small and not very comfortable to sit in for more than 20 minutes. Made relaxing very hard.

Spotless and well equipped. Warm and comfortable. Beautifully decorated and superb finishing touches. Everything was quality with additional extras. Lovely touches right down to dogs being thought about which is so important to us.
