"The Place We’ll Never Forget, Worth Every Step!"

10.0

This is one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever stayed in. An authentic 300-year-old house with a breathtaking view — it looks even better in person than in the photos. It’s a place for people in good shape, as there are quite a few stairs, but the reward is absolutely worth it. The kitchen is full of character; you can cook some pasta and enjoy it on the terrace while admiring the view. Some walls are a bit cracked and the old furniture shows its age, but that’s exactly what makes the atmosphere so unique. We stayed in four different cities, but this is the only place we truly want to return to. If you’re reasonably fit — don’t even hesitate!

"Romantic getaway with magical view, authentic charm, quiet little village"

9.0

This place was an absolute gem, one of the most authentic places we stayed at during our trip (compared to the sterile vacation stays you often see). The house has an old-time charm, and the view is breathtaking. We had our breakfasts and a dinner here and it was so romantic! I don't really get why people complain so much about the stairs. Yes it's a lot, especially with luggage (don't do the Amalfi coast with a big suitcase). We did far more on the different hikes to and from the various towns we visited. Halfway down the stairs, you can make a right and walk to Amalfi following narrow streets, without having to risk your life on the road. Even though it's within walking distance of Amalfi (±15m), it is so much quieter and authentic. I'd go crazy staying in Amalfi. They didn't spam me with emails days/weeks in advance to pre-register/check-in online. Just on the spot, cash and pic of ID. Less stress. (Do have cash on you, ATMs didn't work for us, only in Amalfi we got cash.) The service of taking out the trash for you is very appreciated, as it's annoying to do with your luggage during check-out.

This is not a negative, as the property doesn't list it as an amenities, but providing some basics like proper shampoo, shower gel, coffee capsules, etc. would be very nice additions that don't cost a lot. Provide some proper dish towels to dry the dishes (there's a drying rack though). Expect a number of people to show up in front of the place to visit the church from "The Equalizer 3" (just to realise you can't visit it without a prior reservation). Don't worry, the place is private/fenced off. (We watched it while there, just to see what the fuss was all about haha) It's true the air gets a bit stale inside, but we just opened everything up when we got back.

"This was a very unique property, which had charm and was very pleasant. Its location is quite high up the mountain and d"

The view that you have from this house will be the best in Atrani due to where it is located. It’s one of the highest up so you can see the sea and the whole town. It is quite a hike to get up there so, so be prepared. About 500 steps to get up to the top

Due to it being so hot, air conditioning would have been great but this is an original house so there wouldn’t be. The fans worked fine for sleeping at night

Bardzo klimatyczny, duży dom. Łazienka, kuchnia i pokój czyste.

"A stay to remember at the top of Atrani"

9.0

Our escape to Atrani turned into an unforgettable adventure. Reaching La Casa di Masaniello required conquering 500 steep steps—but what a reward awaited us! Nestled at the very top of the village, just below a lovely little church, this peaceful haven offered a view that truly stole our breath away. We spent most of our time on the second-floor terrace, soaking in magical sunrises and sunsets that made every step worth it. The house has an authentic charm that blends beautifully with the surroundings, and despite its simplicity, it delivered the tranquility and escape we were craving. A special thanks for the electric radiator—it made a real difference during the colder moments.

While the house has undeniable charm, it could benefit from some extra care. The first floor had a rather stale air, which made it feel less inviting. The garden, though full of potential, seemed neglected and could use mowing and a bit of love to become a truly lovely extension of the home. The interior is quite basic and slightly cold at times, but again, nothing that can't be improved with a little attention to detail. Despite the minor drawbacks, the overall experience was magical. The steps became part of the story—an effort that led to a priceless reward. With just a few small improvements, this place could easily become a hidden gem. A solid 9 for the incredible motivation and the unforgettable stay. Thank you!

Definitely a hike to get to the building, but the view was worth it!

Tough for older folks to climb the mile of stairs.

One of the most amazing places I have ever been - beautiful old house with a spectacular view over Atrani and the sea. Atrani itself is just lovely. Ylenia was super nice and helpful and gave us many good advices. I would come back any time again. Wonderful place!

The 500 steps are tough, of course - especially in the summer heat it's extremly exhausting. You have to be fit to do it.

"Great little property with amazing views. Plan your day with the stairs involved, pack light."

7.0

The location afforded amazing views, the authentic Italian style house I was wanting to experience and the solitude I needed for the 4 nights I stayed there. Beds were very comfy. had all the amenities you need. House was clean on arrival.

I'd have to say the stairs. I was aware of the number of stairs before I booked the property so it is not a negative against the hosts. It was to do with my own fitness level - this meant I had to plan my days as I couldn't do the stairs more than twice a day with all the other activities I was doing as well.

"The most amazing view you could ask for."

10.0

The most amazing view you could ask for on the Amalfi coast, the pictures don't do it justice. Ylenia was an extremely helpful & friendly host. She helped with all questions I had and let us store our luggage in their office after we checked out.

The walk to the room is quite hard, but not a problem if you are fit, takes about 10 minutes walking up stairs.
