This was the worst place I’ve stayed at, tbh it shouldn’t be advised as a hotel/B&B. Host was friendly but the place was stuck in thr 80s…..and hasn’t been cleaned or decorated since then either.

The room, facilities

Kamer was schoon, langs Hadrian’s Wall Path

Slecht ontbijt, erg onpersoonlijk

So for the money it was average. But I would not be happy if it was my last hotel on Hadrians wall. It was basic and adequate but we did have an upgraded room with en suite. This place has the potential to be a gold mine but isn’t being looked after which is a shame

It was a bit dirty, no bar, no food ( although we had checked and were prepared) in the old bar area the was an old mattress and looked like a squat. It’s very much like a hostel

Perfecte locatie op onze route met goede matras en degelijk ontbijt voor deze prijs. De keuken was ook zeer handig.

Wel wat frisjes op de kamer en het servies op de kamer was niet echt proper

Nice view. Friendly host who gave us local information but we never saw him again after that. Close to bus stop.

We’d read the reviews and so didn’t have high expectations but it was low standard, budget accommodation. Loads of books and clutter in the lounge area. Furniture all very basic and worn, an assortment of non matching bed linen. Breakfast was already laid out for us when we arrived at 5pm. Orange juice, cornflakes, bread, jam, milk, some fruit and a packaged croissant each. Shower was OK but smelt a bit damp as there was no window or fan. Our room (with a double and single bed) was expensive for what we got as at the start of our trip we’d had a twin room in a 4* hotel in Newcastle for less!!
