Apartment was very clean and well furnished. Staff was wonderful and very quick to reply to messages. Deposit was returned quickly..

This was my first time booking a vacation rental through Booking .com and unfortunately it was my worst travel experience. I,ve used Airbnb, Vbro and stayed in hotels across the country and internationally never have I encountered a situation like this.The property was misrepresented in several ways. Most notably it was located on the 3rd floor with no elevator access a fact not disclosed before booking. As a 73year old man awaiting a hip replacement traveling with my 72 year 0old wife and a daughter in law with a foot injury this presented serious issues had i known this i never would have booked this rental. The surrounding area was littering with trash surrounding the streets and parking area, entering the unit there was a unpleasant order throughout the apt. Also the listing stated 2 bathrooms but there was only 1 full bathroom and 1/2 bathroom with 5 adults having only 1 shower was an issue. The original listing stated that a id and a cash security deposit would be handled in person in order to get access to the keys to get into the apartment. Instead when I texted David(the host) we had arrived for check in in he stated i needed to zelle him the $250 before i could get the access to the keys as a experienced traveler I have never had to zelle money in order to get access to the keys. To make matters worse David stated i would get the $250 Zelled to me by 3pm the day of checking out and I left David 2 texts after 3pm to please let me know when the $250 would be Zelled to my account. I actually had to call Booking .com customer service to email David and he sent the $250 . This experience was stressful, disappointing, and unacceptable, the lack of transparency. poor communication and misleading listing details made for a deeply unpleasant trip.I would give a zero rating if I could.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Good value for money if traveling with extended family.

Location not very comfortable. Uncomfortable parking. Location safety might be a concern during night though neighborhood seems safe.

No Coffee Maker Parking was challenging and we were not able to utilize the driveway as someone was always parked in the entrance unable to get wifi and password so unable to work on laptop for work when not at the University of Chicago Medical Center

The unit was very clean and cozy (exactly as pictured) also very spacious

The neighborhood is terrible and the downstairs neighbors weren’t ideal.
