But lacks the ventilation

The property location was amazing. As soon as you step out the front door you can see the water, located so centrally.

The location is close to the beach and the check-in process with the key safe was straightforward.

The property had severe mold on doors, windows and walls — the smell was persistent day and night. No heating was provided in February. I coughed and had difficulty breathing from the mold. The oven was filthy, cabinet hinges rusted, shower hose cracked with no pressure. A stored blanket was covered in sand and smelled of mold. When I raised these issues and provided photos, the host (GestHomes) denied any responsibility, blamed storms, and refused any refund. I have filed an official complaint with the Portuguese authorities (ASAE) via the Livro de Reclamações. RESPONSE to the host Dear GestHomes, I will address every point you raised because none hold up. "Storms and humidity" — I asked your team about Storm Kristin BEFORE arrival on 30 Jan. Bruno replied "the rest is fine." You knew the property's condition and said nothing. That is deception, not transparency. "Thermo-ventilator heater" — This is a small dehumidifier box, roughly 30x20cm. It cannot heat a freezing apartment. Calling it a heater is deliberately misleading. Your check-in instructions listed the kettle, toaster, coffee maker and garbage locations but somehow forgot the only "heating source" in a winter rental. "Opportunity to cancel" — I did not cancel because YOUR team told me the property was fine. I trusted your words. You cannot blame me for that. "Normal oven use" — I never used that oven for cooking. The filth was there on arrival. If that is your "strict cleaning standard," that is exactly the problem. "Oxidation from saline environment" — Rusted hinges and a cracked leaking shower hose are maintenance failures, not sea air effects. My review reflects documented facts: structural mold causing breathing problems, no heating, extreme humidity, filth, rust. These are photographed and now under ASAE investigation (ref: ROR00000000045503560). You had every chance to resolve this. You chose denial.

Olor a humedad. Al llegar encontramos una cucaracha en el fregadero. Luego en ningún momento apareció ninguna durante los días de estancia.

Alles! Es war sauber, schön gemütlich eingerichtet und hatte viel an Ausstattung (Toaster, Mikrowelle, Ofen, Herd mit 4 Platten, mehrere Decken etc etc.). Es hat an nichts gefehlt, im Gegenteil - selbst beim aufräumen am Tag der Abreise fanden wir noch mehr Sachen, die sehr praktisch waren. Die Gasse ist sehr gemütlich, kurz über die Straße und man ist direkt am Strand bei den Baracken. Wir möchten gerne wieder kommen!

Gibt es nichts zu bemängeln. Das Bett ist etwas hart, aber das ist meckern auf hohem Niveau. :)
