this place scammed me.

this place is a scam. I booked online using booking.com, and only option is to pay in advance. So that's what I did. I did not hear anything from the host, when I messaged them that I would be a late arrival. Not once did they communicate anything with me. I became a little concerned, but as I had already paid in advance I was hoping to hear from the host once I got into manila. Got there and checked with the front concierge about contacting the host so I can check in. I learned from the host that there were previous issues with the owner and there was also someone else associated with the property who wasn't allowed access to the property. Somewhat confused, it became clear to me that someone was controlling the listing and taking payments from bookings, although I am not sure who. Long story short, avoid this place at all costs. I usually only book a couple ion days to any place I stay at just in case the place doesn't fit my needs after arriving, which I would have only been out a few hundred dollars. But because I paid for a week or so, I ended up bring out a lot more than that. From now on, unless it is a reputable star rating hotel, I will never take my chances on these host/bnb style arrangements. Too much possibility for shady crooks.

I got switched to a different room/ building because owner said there was electrical issues at the room I booked. Didn’t have card access to use elevator to go to room. Had to keep asking security and front desk for their card key to use elevator. Told owner I would be gone for 3 days to go on a side trip. Came back a day early and found my room was rented to another person while I was gone. That ruined my whole vacation knowing someone else was in my room while I was gone.

Everything was clean and organized, the staff were all kind and they accommodated us well. The place was too good for the price. We would come again.
