"Not worth booking unless you book ages in advance and can pay via local Transfaransia"

The place looks like in the pictures, it was clean and the staff in reception was lovely. The only problems we had was with the company that manages the place. We have rented apartments on booking.com all over South America and if nobody is there to meet you when you arrive, they always show up later to take payment. As non-residents we cannot use the local transfaransia systems each country on this continent uses (almost no one takes payment via booking.com), and owners have always been happy to accommodate, even if it just meant sending a friend over.

The location showed on the map here on booking is not the actual location of the apartment. It is about half a block up the road. When we arrived at the location of the marker on the booking-map we were surrounded by houses and it took us a bit of time to realize where we were supposed to go. Turns out, the management company (called GoHost) don't give you the address until you have paid, but do not take payment online via booking.com so it gets a bit tricky. When we arrived, we messaged who we at that point thought was the owner and told them we were at the apartment block, which resulted in a bit of confusion because on their end they hadn't given us the address yet so we shouldn't be there. The woman on the other side of the Whats-App conversation kept saying I had to meet her at their office to pay first, which is fair enough! Then I asked what floor her office was on...turned out we had to go for a drive... The location of their office what in a different suburb. After a long conversation, the woman gave me the address but when we arrived it looked like someones house. No sign that GoHost was there at all. I had to ask a guy who was washing a car in the driveway and he directed me to a doorbell outside. Inside, I was met with a room packed with young people. The woman who was my "host" met me and took payment etc. When I asked her why she had not just sent me the location of her office right away she said she had no ability to change the automated whats-app messages. I advised we could have gone there to make payment right away had we known the address, but she didn't seem to care much. During our conversation she did some things on her phone to confirm payment etc in the system, and I could see she had 51 properties in an AirBnB-branded list (not booking.com). There were at least 10 people in the office. This company makes a fortune and the people you speak to don't care because it is not their place.
