Excellent location, comfortable bed, quiet location, quite well equipped

In need of some TLC

The location was great and the host friendly and fast in the communication.

The cleanliness of the apartment, something that should be easy to improve to make the experience better. And some devices or options are not functioning well and should be replaced.

Lovely neat and comfortable and a stones throw from friends.

Hallways and outside let it down.

Good stay for proximity to Legoland, nicely decorated top floor flat with everything we required for our 2 night stay. Very quiet, parking, spacious. Easily had space for our cot. Messages from host in advance with key details. Friendly neighbour in the downstairs flat. Toileteries / a few consumables to use in the kitchen although we'd brought our own thinking this was an empty holiday let property.

This was more like an air b&b which I hadn't expected, we usually prefer a full holiday let so we don't feel like we're imposing in someone's home. There was a bike left in the lounge which wasn't ideal having two young children (ages were noted on the booking.) Floor hadn't been cleaned properly as there was food under the sofa but the rest of the flat was clean. Main bed not very comfy, cheap mattress with no support/dips. Skylights also broken and it was quite warm, we were told in a message so hopefully this will be rectified ahead of any very hot weather. There is a garden but it wasn't clear if this was shared/we could use it. The key box was also a bit difficult to access through overgrowth.

Great flat, so much better than staying in a hotel room. Good communication from owner and easy access. We all had a great nights sleep in comfy beds.

Did not inconvenience us, but stairs up to flat are quite narrow. Bedrooms are very bright in the mornings but again did not really bother us.

it was great actually having space for 4 adults (many places are listed for 4 adults but don't have enough chairs cutlery etc) therefore me and my family could actually rest and enjoy our time together. The flat is lovely decorated and we could use all the facilities, the coffee machine was perfect for our mornings. The flat had loads of light and was clean.

the flush was a bit tricky to use small bed was a bit uncomfortable a night stand would have been great in the small bedroom to be able to put things down, rather than laying them on the floor

I expected to have rented a holiday flat but from personal items throughout the apartment it seemed to be the hosts home which is let when he is not there. That threw me a wee bit !. What I liked was the size of the apartment, in particular the bedroom and living space. Bed was very comfortable. Car parking within the driveway was obviously shared with the the other two apartments in the building but it was not an issue. Easy walk into town or along the riverside and the Asda Store at the petrol station nearby had most products we needed ( although we did shop at Waitrose in town - again an easy walk)

First impressions are poor due to the state of the driveway and frontage. Garden to the rear was also very overgrown although we did not use the space during our stay. I did not like the bike in the living room or the broken (large ) light fitment lying beside the sofa. The kitchen disappointed particularly due to the state of the oven - we had planned to self cater but chose not to use the oven. The velux blinds could not be lowered in the evening throughout the apartment so mornings were early ones !!
