Rustic, rural & peaceful property. The sound of the river & direct walks onto an offroad woodland footpath was lovely. Having the cars parked out of site made the stay feel like an escape from seeing or thinking about transport. Lovely view from the cattle field footpath above the woodland walk(see pic).

There is a loose drain cover outside the front door which is best avoided as its noisy if stepped on. The stone steps on the garden footpath are a bit tricky to navigate with a dog on a short lead in the dark so a head torch is essential plus the neighbours dog was often right by these steps in the daytime so be prepared for a bit of friendly barking whilst going up & down these garden steps.

We stay 3 nights in this lovely cottage. The location is great for walks to Moors or dart river. Also local pub walking distance. Very nice neighbours too!.

What a beautiful, peaceful location - perfectly positioned for exploring Dartmoor. The cottage is very cosy, comfortable, well equipped and quiet. A great night's sleep! Nice to have the stream running past the windows. And Helena was very friendly and helpful too.
