The picture showed a different apartment block entirely. Third floor and no lift.

The safari to get to the keys which were stored at a different location in a safety box. Never met the host.

The hanging chair was a good comfort.

The lack of communication between booking and getting there. The owner uses an agency that has zero communication skills. One cannot call them or whatsapp them, and they only send the occasional email. I was worried about getting the key as it was only told to me that the key was available the night before at a certain location, which cost me an extra Uber ride. Then, when I got there the night before, there was no milk for the morning coffee, which was disappointing.

The apartment is budget-friendly and has everything you need, especially a well-equipped kitchen. The location is excellent — very convenient for getting around Cape Town.

However, keep in mind that the place looks better in the photos than in real life. The furniture and walls are a bit worn, the windows are dirty, and there's no real view. The metal security gate on the front door might feel off-putting to some.
