Host & Stay - Shoemakers Cottage

Excellent location, very central to all local amenities. Accommodation itself was comfortable and really well equipped!

The property was quaint, well equipped and a central location

Parking was not easy as busy due to bank holiday. Evening noise a bit but to be expected as close to pubs but in town again so expected.

The sofa was very soft, as were the cushions, which didn’t give any support to our backs and made sitting for any length of time uncomfortable. I felt that there needed to be a better locking system on the front door. The keyless entry box is actually on the door with a code number to unlock the door, but anyone could break the large glass panel in the door and easily reach the handle to open it from outside. There was a bolt at the bottom that we could use when we were in, but I felt that a second look was needed.

There was nothing we didn't like about this little place.

Was good for getting around but too noisy wouldn’t choose it again

Pub too near very noisy until very late every night and people shouting outside until midnight

Lovely little cottage and well situated for shops, bakery and pubs. Peaceful all the time, despite proximity to town centre. Has everything a couple needs for a stay - we stayed 5 nights. Comfy bed, adequate storage, nice bathroom. Full size cooker.. Had no problem finding parking nearby - well guided by owners to where to find unrestricted street parking. A minute's walk from seafront - we walked there early every morning. Would definitely stay again- was good value

Steep staircase but this is in property description. The cottage gets little sunlight but this suited us as weather was so hot. TV signal poor at times, but little issue for us as didn't turn TV on much.

Well equipped, nice touches all around the cottage.

For me it was too cool downstairs, I did phone the number provided and the person I spoke to did turn it up.
